How It Works
Whether you are completely new to the industry or ready for your next opportunity, we are here to help you understand the process from application to professional representation.
Become a ModelA clear path forward
Starting a modeling or acting journey can feel overwhelming, especially when you do not know what to expect. At TL Modeling Agency, our goal is to make the process clear, professional and approachable for children, teens and adults.
No previous modeling or acting experience is required to apply. We review each submission based on the current needs of our agency and the markets we serve.
Please note: TL Modeling Agency is selection-based. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, auditions or paid bookings.
Five steps to getting started
Every journey is different, but this overview will help you understand what generally happens when you apply for representation.
Submit your application
Begin by completing our online Become a Model form. You will provide basic contact information and upload one or two clear, recent photographs.
Professional photographs are not required for your initial submission. Natural, well-lit photos that clearly show the applicant are best.
Our agency reviews your submission
Our team reviews applicants based on presentation, professionalism, age division and the agency's current need for talent.
Because we receive many submissions, we are unable to offer representation to every applicant. Those selected to move forward will be contacted by email.
Complete the registration process
Selected applicants will receive information explaining the agency agreement, portfolio requirements and the next steps needed to complete registration.
Parents or legal guardians manage this process for applicants under age 18.
Prepare your professional photos
You do not need to already have professional photos in order to sign with TL Modeling Agency.
If you already have professional images, you may submit them to us for review. If you do not, you will have up to 60 days to complete your portfolio after registration.
We can connect you with a professional fashion photographer who understands the types of images needed for modeling and acting submissions, or you may choose your own photographer and submit the images for approval.
Begin receiving opportunities
Once registration and portfolio requirements have been completed, talent may be considered for suitable casting opportunities based on age, appearance, location, measurements, skills and the client's specific request.
Not every opportunity will be a match for every person. Consistent communication, preparation and professionalism are important parts of the process.
Professional guidance without unrealistic promises
We believe talent and families should understand both the exciting possibilities and the realities of the entertainment industry.
No experience required
Beginners are welcome to apply. Natural ability, personality, preparation and professionalism can all be developed over time.
Opportunities vary
Auditions and submissions depend on what casting directors and clients request. Activity may vary by age, look, season and market.
Bookings are never guaranteed
The final selection is made by the client or casting team. No legitimate agency can promise that every talent will book work.
Communication matters
Talent should respond promptly, follow directions carefully and keep photographs, measurements and contact information current.
Parents remain involved
Parents and guardians are responsible for communication, scheduling, transportation and required documentation for minors.
Professionalism is essential
Being reliable, prepared and respectful helps talent make a strong impression at auditions, fittings, rehearsals and booked jobs.
Preparing talent for real opportunities
Professional representation can lead to auditions and projects in commercial, print, television, film, voice-over, promotional and other entertainment markets when the talent matches the client's needs.
Behind the scenes
Professional sets involve cameras, crews, direction, patience and teamwork.
Commercial production
Real projects may require talent to perform, interact naturally and bring a client's creative concept to life.
